The meaning of STIE Perbanas Surabaya Symbol

  1. White cotton with its 17 pieces along the twig represents the prosperity of clothing as one of the basic needs in life.
  2. The 8 books represent profound knowledge and grounded science.
  3. Rice with 45 seeds on its twig represents the prosperity of food, as one of the basic needs in life.
  4. The band represents unity of the academician members in accomplishing their tasks to dedicate their time fully for the state and nation, and God Almighty.
  5. In the middle of the band there is a writing PERBANAS representing dedication, loyalty to the founding fathers of STIE Perbanas Surabaya.
  6. The tower represents resilience and strength of dedication.
  7. Fire above the tower represents the endless dedication by the STIE Perbanas Surabaya members towards the state and nation.
  8. The red circle surrounding the cotton, rice, books, and fire above the tower represents the unity of all concerned.
  9. The total number in the circle such as cotton, books, and rice reminds us of the moments of Indonesian approaching the proclamation of Independence Day, 17 August 1945.

All in all, it can be concluded that the symbol entails the whole meaning as the following:
All the members of academicians of STIE Perbanas Surabaya are always in unity with resilient and endless dedication for learning to get knowledge and science so as to achieve their welfare and prosperity but in accordance with the ideal depicted in the proclamation of Indonesia Independence 17 August 1945.
